It has come to my attention that certain cats and dogs from non-English speaking countries have been making noises which are incompatible with American standards. Our dogs say "Bow-wow" or "Ruff" and our cats say "Meow"...the way it should be...if you are not American, what do cats and dogs say in your country? I am just curious...though this may figure into our invasion plans when America gets around to bringing about a "regime change" in your country...

 holy_of_holies: Our dogs say "Bow-wow" or "Ruff" Oh ours aren't so civilized.. sometimes the "bow" and the "wow" get mixed.. and sometimes it's a "b-rrru-ow.." and sometimes a "rrr..." holy_of_holies: our cats say "Meow" How tame.. ours go "miaaaaiaiaiaw" if angry and "mewn" (ends nasally) when cosy. holy_of_holies: It has come to my attention that certain cats and dogs from non-English speaking countries have been making noises which are incompatible with American standards. Boring stereotypes.. gets on my nerves ..holy_of_holies: though this may figure into our invasion plans when America gets around to bringing about a "regime change" in your country Rahly.. when an Italian woman politely declined the Prime Ministership and gave it to a traditional looking forward-minded Muslim, and the Presidency is occupied by a boat-driver fashionista with nearly 30 doctorates.. at least we have a more interesting regime than you  holy_of_holies: This cat says, "RANJANI!"  Guess I'll post for Israel. Cats: Um... "Meow", pronounced in one syllable, so it sounds like "myow". Dogs: "How-how" or "Hav-hav". Roosters: "Kookooreekoo" Pain: "ay-ya!" - a mild blasphemy ("oh, God!") Sneeze: "Apchee". Not sure exactly where that one came from... posted by Sharaith |

 "dog - wan-wan " -Japanese I suspect that this is similar to the pronunciation of a dog's bark in Chinese... so it should be more like "wung- wung" Cat is the same: meow Sharaith: Pain: "ay-ya!" - a mild blasphemy ("oh, God!") In Chinese we say that too, except it's not for pain -- it's an expression that can mean several different things if you pronounce it with a different tone of voice. For example if you say "ay- ya!" it kind of means "Oh no!" if it's more like "ay-yaaaa..." it mieans more a "tsk, tsk ,tsk" or "aw man" or "oh goodness...*sigh*" Sometimes we add a little "way-ya" at the end, for zest and rhyme I guess (I really have no clue ) so it ends up like this "ay-ya-way-ya"
