»Did George W. Bush realize that he is NOT doing god's work?«

It's so quiet. Bush doesn't seem do anything.

And he is not doing what he promised (= cutting taxes, ...)

Maybe he has realized that he is not god's servant?

The ONEder Man:
proof?

Well, is he doing ANYTHING he promised?

Even the hope that he would replace the dead Supreme Court judges by hardcore conservatives has been disappointed.

Conservatives are raging.

knn:
Conservatives are raving.

Raving in that context means, "approving," as in "rave reviews." You want "outraged" or something like that.

Bush can't win. Bush is a tyrant. Tyrants always lose. Historical fact.

Here's a history fact for you: Bush has won more than two elections in his life, but only once for president. Al Gore won the election in 2000; the (conservative-controlled) Supreme Court halted the recount and thus Bush was able to seize power. He did win in 2004, and almost immediately after, he started to lose approval points. Now he is at an all-time low, especially for a wartime president. So I guess he has really not won after all. BTW, if you think he has won or is going to win in his wars, it's arguable that he lost in Afghanistan, and he will lose in Iraq. He is hated the world over for his mishandling of those wars, and that is exactly the opposite of what his objective was, which was to increase his popularity by killing his enemies. That never works; didn't work for any of the American presidents (more history for ya) Washington didn't succeed in driving the British out of North America (Canada) and Roosevelt didn't succeed in liberating Europe (Soviet Bloc) etc, etc.

The reason I am always talking about history is it is obvious to me that neo-conservatives in America are really clueless about historical precedent, and want to believe that they can restore something that they think once existed in America, but really never did, namely, a theocracy. So if I can do just a tiny bit to educate people about history and the consequences of tyranny, I'm ambivalent as to whether people like it or not.Aaah, is there anything better than to post here and to drink something

On a side note: He won 3 hard elections. That's not chance.
