I don't have any statistics or anything, just wanted to throw this out there: Don't you all think that if everyone of a certain age in the USA could be drafted into some kind of military service, the government would be less likely to start wars? It seems to me the new conservative agenda in opposition to the draft is entirely self-serving: they don't want their kids or their friends' kids to have to go into the military, so they refuse to even entertain the notion that it might be necessary to bring back the draft while at the same time advocating the next big war like Iraq. I think George Bush's daughters should be sent to Iraq! What's stopping them? And of course there are the leftover hippies from the sixties who think the draft is somehow undemocratic; nothing could be further from the truth! The draft is the most democratic way to run a military! Even if you had, say, people who were opposed to violence on moral grounds or because of disability and did not want to do the actual fighting, they could be drafted into medical, police, or military intelligence service. And they should have to write an essay "Why I believe I should be exempted from armed service but am willing to accept the benefits of the sacrifice of others." If you ask me, all these "peaceful" countries, like France and Germany, are full of the wimpiest losers who ever walked the face of the Earth. If you look at the deteriorating situation in Iraq at this point, you have to wonder why the people of these countries are not demanding to be sent to Iraq if they care so much about it, if only at the very least to as aid workers to help alleviate suffering. All Europe and Latin America (the white continents) care about is techno clubs! Life is a party to them! They have absolutely no concept of service, and then they complain about "American imperialism". The only reason the USA got to be such an imperialist country is because European countries kept begging us to save them because their own people were too wimpy to do their own fighting. Bush in the military). Draft is another tool of oppression since the government could draft anyone they don't like. The draft has not been ended by liberals as your picture of Bill and Hillary Clinton suggests, but by conservatives. Richard Nixon might have been a criminal ( IMO → Identity of Deep Throat (Watergate scandal) finally revealed ), but it was one of his greatest achievements to abolish the draft. He put together a "draft commission" 1970 and promised to end the draft: He won the presidential election 1972 by a landslide. President Reagan might have been a criminal ( IMO → Ronald Reagan is dead ), but he something very true: "The most fundamental objection to draft registration is moral. A draft or draft registration destroys the very values that our society is committed to defending." You, holy of holies, are under psychiatric treatment. You won't be drafted anyway. Thus you are the last one to propose a draft. Now, coming to your basic idea, that a draft might prevent wars: The best way how to prevent wars is to go from house to house and ask everybody to give money for the upcoming war. the french were not always wimps in the hundred years war they kicked britain's hooligans out of their country and of course that was the war that featured joan of arc the ultimate schizoaffective soldier they burned her at the stake and she knew if they caught her they would do that but she fought anyway and ultimately the french prevailed that's not wimpy today the french, the british, and the u.s.a. would lock joan of arc up in a mental hospital inject her full of antipsychotics and prevent her from enlisting in the military because of her illness that's why america, france, and britain will never win another major war because they keep their best soldiers, the mentally ill, at home and send healthy people out to fight and die in wars while we crazies stay home and breed or become rock stars and sing protest songs to subvert the war effort but at least we mentally ill can always post on web forums and expose sociopathic communist hippies like tiefling who posts on this site so the people will know who betrayed america when they raise the red rag over the white house and the land of the free falls under the red chinese boot but i, holy_of_holies, the schizophrenic freak will hold my sword high above my head so that when the chinese boot comes down the sole is pierced and i feel the blood of the tyrant of beijing run down my arms to my soulders and thus will i truly be baptized a member of the church of revolution and a son of liberty posted by crazy_of_crazies |

instead of da vinci code, they should look up the health code regarding consumption of invertebrates lol i took my french mistress canoeing on the suwanee river and as soon as she saw an apple snail on a tree she shouted "sacre bleu, c'est un escargot!" and jumped out of the canoe swam over to the tree and ate the apple snail, shell and all we barely made it a mile down the river that day because she kept jumping out of the canoe
