»Does anyone have experience withe Ketamine? Post it here«

I read that Kate Moss took the illegal drug Ketamine .

Does anyone have experience with that forbidden narcotic?

I don't know if it was ketamine, but I had a friend from high school who died from drinking a capful of what I was told was "horse tranquilizer". They had broken into a vet clinic and stolen it.

back when i was going to raves often, i knew some people that did it, had it offered to me before...never tried it...it was called "special K"

from what i saw of the people on it, i really don't understand why anyone would pay money to do that to themselves

well, from what i could gather...they were blown out of their minds! i know its animal tranquilizers, although i don't know for what animal...i heard once that they had elephant tranquilizer...i have no idea, but imagine having tranquilizers in your system that is strong enough for a horse...most of their time was spent on the ground, laying with their eyes rolled to the back of their heads...could barely speak, but then again, they had also done some other drugs.

i just don't understand paying money to put something into your body that is not meant to be there that makes your body kinda...shut down in a way, or atleast shut down enough so that you can barely move.

all you really need is 88mph. that's when the flux compacitor starts to work.

omg that is absolutely ridiculous. why would you intentionally take a substance meant for an animal, as big as a HORSE, or ELEPHANT even and put that into your body...do they have no respect for themselves? im sorry...

It's not horse tranquilizer

Ketamine is used to put cats to sleep and I don't know what it does to, never seen anyone on it.. But what allone described sounds more like an OD, albiet a mild one, than anything else.

Sorry to doublepost

My mistake; it isn't used to put them to sleep necessarily, just as anaesthetic. I got this from the Erowid Vault:
Erowid Vault
Ketamine is a dissociative anaesthetic, developed in the mid 1960's, used primarily for veterinary anaesthesiology. Although Ketamine is not used medically on humans much because it induces psychedelic episodes in patients, it is still used for some limited human applications because it does not depress breathing or circulation. Ketamine is used recreationally primarily as a snorted white powder and for therapeutic and psychedelic use it is often injected intra-muscularly (IM). Its effects range (at lower doses) from mild inebriation, dreamy thinking, stumbling, clumsy, or 'robotic' movement, delayed or reduced sensations, vertigo, sometimes erotic feelings, increased sociability, and an interesting sense of seeing the world differently to (at higher doses) extreme difficulty moving, nausea, complete dissociation, entering complete other realities, classic Near Death Experiences (NDEs), compelling visions, black outs, etc. Ketamine is also known for being more psychologically addictive / compelling than most psychedelics and it is not uncommon to hear of users who take it once or more daily.

I say: No thank you!

In veterinary medicine, ketamine is often used for its anaesthetic and analgesic effects on cats, dogs, rabbits, rats, and other small animals. Veterinarians often use ketamine with sedative drugs to produce balanced anaesthesia and analgesia, and as a constant rate infusion to help prevent pain wind-up. Ketamine is used to manage pain among horses and other large animals, though it has less effect on bovines.

meh, all i know is that i have heard it referred to as tranquilizers and such
Recreational use

When used recreationally, ketamine can be known as K, Ket, Special K, Vitamin K (not to be confused with the true vitamin K), or Kitty.

Ketamine produces effects similar to PCP and DXM. Like other dissociative anesthetics in low- to upper-middle dosages, its hallucinogenic effects are only seen against a background lacking sensory stimulation, such as darkness. Users tout its trip as better than that of PCP or LSD because its overt hallucinatory effects are short-acting, lasting an hour or less in most cases. Effects on the senses, judgment, and coordination, however, can last for 18 to 24 hours.

it explains a lot there, a pretty good read for anyone who is interested in it
