The case with people usually is that they like being asked questions about themselves, or they're made to think about things that they never thought about seriously before, or they'd like to "know more about themselves" through their interests.. many people do take these tests seriously. They are the same people who also take horoscopes and astrology relatively seriously. I find this stuff funny, and it's interesting to understand how they're structured - although it becomes boring quite fast. When you see someone do something, don't you wonder how it would be if you did it? The grapes are on the tree, I wonder if I'd be able to reach them and taste them.

I was going for the sour grapes extension. You see someone trying to do something, you think how it would be if you did the same. And you think your experiencing it is preferable to someone else's experience of it. Sort of similarly, you see someone take a test you automatically wonder what it would say if you took it. And of course, everyone has the Neo-complex - "ooh I'll get something special" We're all nearing offtopic-ness. posted by ryder |

sangu: Why, if I may ask, is the reason for liking quizilla and the whole quizzes. well, for me...i started noticing some of these quizes showing up over here, so i took them. i was bored and went to the website and spent a total of maybe 10 minutes...i noticed a very small percent of quizes that interested me. some of them can be fun, but most of them were pretty dumb, like: "what would you look like if you were a monkey" and crap like that...so plain and simple...i was bored, it gave me something to do and a way to further my procrastination

allone: further my procrastination Yeah, that's why I took them too, before...just to avoid doing things that I was supposed to be doing. But now I can't afford that very much anymore, so the quizzes are just pointless to me now. posted by nocturnal_anonymous |
