»During what time period/place would you have liked to live?«

Damn no room for a question mark.

I was inspired by Holy's unceasingly need to live in the past.

So during which time and place would you most like to have lived?

Easy: United States of America, 1776. That's when the British Empire started to fall apart and democracy was on the march.Thumb Up

Is the future an option here? If so... the future. Say, 100 years from now. In Europe.

I don't know about living there, but visiting ancient civilizations in their prime would be interesting.

I too would be interested in living in the future if and when we develop other colonies in this Solar System. Being up close and personal with one of the 4 gas giants would be cool.

When flying cars are invented. Duh. In the U.S.

Hopefully the U.S. hasn't become a third world country by then.

I'd pick the sixties. All those social and cultural revolutions... Plus, it was probably less smelly that Imperial Rome or the Renaissance. Very Happy

Where would you have wanted to live, if you were living in the sixties?

Jerusalem of Herod's time.

Or maybe the 1960s and 70s.

If not, then upper-class 19th century England. I hate those buggers but it must be fun being one!

Just not as his son, I'd hope. Very Happy

I'd choose Rome of Herod's time, myself (I could always visit the Temple, after all, and I'm not especially religious, as you may have noticed) - Augustus was probably a far safer ruler to be a subject of. Getting bloodily executed as part of a suppression of one of numerous rebellions does not sound like a good time to me. I've been reading Josephus, and the sheer number of riots in Jerusalem in that period is astounding.

No. As a wealthy man but not filthy-hated rich.

Or, how about being Scipio Africanus?
