I have yet another favorite, this one less well known than the other three I have named. It's There is a lot of history in this film and the flying scenes are amazing for the time. One interesting thing about the film is that one of the real-life fighter pilots who received the Blue Max during WWI was the "Red Baron," Manfred von Richthofen, who actually makes an appearance in the film, played by Carl Schell. Sorry but I couldn't find any stills of the movie online, and I didn't feel like making any of my own tonight. Maybe later. I've seen this movie...and yes, it's a very underrated film. Peppard was one of those actors that kind of flew under the radar and was underappreciated until towards the end of his career when he had the role of Hannibal on the posted by GP |

Rocky I - If you are a male born in the early 70's you have to have this movie in your top five. There is no other movie that inspired me more (music), made me ask questions..."Dad, why did he lose?" or had me wanting to come back for more. Even II and III were moving, but not like the first. I watch it anytime I come across it on TBS. ROCKY, ROCKY, ROCKY! posted by ahron |

nocturnal_anonymous: I'm surprised - I would have thought that half of the posts here would be rants on how great The Matrix trilogy is... seraphim: The Matrix (the whole trilogy), without a doubt. Hopefully more Matrix fans will join seraphim and I in this thread But Matrix 2 and 3 were such crap, and if not just "bad" then nothing more then adequate. But favorite movie of all time? That is hard. Probably the movie the made the biggest impact on me was The Empire Strikes Back, but no that would not now be my favorite film. ...but I'll still say The Empire Strikes Back! posted by Pawnatron |
