»Psychiatrists are far too mighty for their bogus diagnosis«

holy_of_holies:
Well it's a dangerous world knn. Lots of bad people out there, including some psychiatrists.

Yes, it's dangerous enough without psychiatrists. Let's not make it more dangerous by allowing uncontrolled psychiatry.
holy_of_holies:
Doesn't mean you can overthrow hundreds of years

There is no hundreds of years of research. If you call "Putting madmen into ice water until they faint" a research then we have all the right of the world to call psychiatry a bogus science.
holy_of_holies:
Oh give me a break. By that logic, if Physical Therapy is so great, amputees could grow back limbs that have been severed. That doesn't make any sense.

You are forcefully trying to play with words.

It is the target of every therapy to relief the patient. End of story.

If the effect of psychiatry is destroyed lives and brains then it IS DANGEROUS.

Well come on then! Let's see the evidence for the big conspiracy.

You don't need a conspiracy. Just the fact that psychiatry has been used politically to lock up political competitors is enough.

Simply declare "communism" as a mental disease.

And since we are at it: Here is the abuse of psychiatry under the Bush administration:
Below, the prestigious UK newspaper The Guardian exposes how the US government forces psychiatric abuse of Islamic prisoners held in Guantanamo bay for unproven allegations of terrorism, in a two-part series published 2 Dec. 2003.
...
Here's one excerpt:
As treatment for Mohammed's suicidal state of mind, US medics injected him with an unknown drug, against his will. "I refused and they brought seven or eight people and held me and injected me," he says. "I couldn't see down, I couldn't see up. I felt paralysed for one month - this injection, the effect, I couldn't think or do anything. They gave me tranquillising tablets. They just told me: 'Your brain is not working properly.' They were forcing me to take these injections and tablets and I didn't want to do that. Some people were being injected every month."

Wrong. The US Bill of Rights and US Statutes protect me from that kind of thing. The antipsychiary movement is what convinced me to avoid getting help until I was in such pain and distress that I flipped out and got myself arrested.

And where is this protection when it comes to senseless drugging of children? See IMO → Bogus psychiatry on children has to be stopped
