Odin is really cool, I'd say.

Wasn't Zeus Greek? Not Roman - I think that's Jupiter. Zeus loved to stir things up in the world, kind of like our knn here White laugh

Good call ryder. Zeus was a Greek god, not a Roman one.

The odd thing about these gods is how the phrase "only human" springs to mind as we hear of many of their 'activities'. It is funny how when the Greeks modelled these gods after human behaviour they chose to portray these particular characteristics. Makes you wonder what society was like back then White laugh

Odin is so cool

Odin... Viking Mythology is awesome... I actually feel strengthened by the fact that the Gods in the Mythology know they're going to lose the battle at Ragnarok, but they're still going to fight till the end and really funking fight hard. I find that to be one of the coolest, and most morale boosting things ever. I try to follow it too, that even though somethings are inevitable you might aswell try to be strong rather then give in. Heh it puts a fire in my heart.

ragna, "of the gods" + rökr "twilight"

"Ragnarok" translates out literally to "Twilight of the Gods" or "Destined End of the Gods." The title of the opera Götterdämmerung , the last in the "Ring of the Nibelung" cycle by Richard Wagner means the same in German. And Wagner's buddy Nietzsche wrote a book called Twilight of the Idols , on similar themes.

You know what, I always wanted Loki to win everytime, that guy kicks so much ass, but noo thor always made him do stff he didn't want to do, oh and then they punish him for killing some guy pffffft.

Not just "some guy," but the second son of Odin, Baldur, who was the god of innocence and beauty. And Loki didn't kill Baldur; he tricked Baldur's blind brother Hod into killing him. Then, when the goddess of the dead agreed to allow Baldur to be resurrected if everyone alive or dead mourned for him, Loki was the one creature in all the worlds who wouldn't mourn, so Baldur's death was irrevocable. And that death started the chain of events leading to the defeat of the gods and the end of the world.
So really Loki was a bastard and deserved what he got. White laugh

Right because Balder was so strong that only misletoe could kill him so everybody threw stuff at him and watched it bounce off, but lokie gave hod the misletoe and said "throw this at him".

I thought Loki was punished for killing that waiter to a feast he was not invited to, then he ran to a house with four doors so that when the gods got angry and came looking for him he could escape through either one, he was near a river so he thought he would turn into a salmon to escape but he made a net and the gods found it and caught him and bound him under the ground and then one of his enemies put a snake that drips venom over him, and his wife sits there with a cup and stops the venom from hitting him, but when the cup is full she has to go and dump it out so Loki writhes and groans and that's why we have earthquakes.

Plus he had monsters for Children and one of them was not only called hel but cast into the underworld and told he could take control of it if he wished, WOW Christianity really gave their ideas a lot of thought.

Damn, Kupov, that's quite a memory you have there.
I dunno about Loki...the source that I read in college was the Icelandic saga called Snorra Edda and I seem to remember Loki's punishment was for killing Baldur;
I just Wiki'ed Baldur to doublecheck and that's what it said too.

But there may be multiple versions.
