well for awhile now i have had an invisible bar at the top of my desktop that when i go to click on an icon, i click on this invisible button intead and if i'm online it takes to some fake spyware removal site. i'll get the address later... Needless to say spy-bot search and destroy hasn't fazed it. Any other ideas? posted by The ONEder Man |

Lavasoft Ad-Aware. It sounds like this is a process running somewhere, so you could try simply killing it and deleting it. posted by Tiefling |

try booting in safe mode and running spybot either that or adaware as mentioned already also the free version of spysweeper was quite good alternatively and very quick is a programme called hijackthis...get it from majorgeeks as some other sites are fake and are chock full of spyware with hijackthis you need to know what you are doing as it highlights non spyware stuff...usually if its a toolbar it will be a browser help object and will be tagged as BHO...delete that here's some links posted by the anomaly |
