 Well I voted Yes, I think it's fine and I would do it. I think sex is a personal choice, but do u really wanna wait until marriage 4 sex, and then you get bad sex (which, as I've heard, can cause problems) and then want out? I don't, so that's why I try before I buy

Sex is natural and healthy and should be enjoyed. But it does have emotional implications and some people just move way too fast in a relationship (that included people who wait until marriage 4 sex eg getting married asap) I don't really know where I stand on that topic posted by ravenfeather |

 I've voted for pre-marital sex. I wonder how my point of view would have changed if I would have married being a virgin, and would have been happy in the marriage, but so far I am all for having sex before marrying, because Before you have sex you can have Ideas about it. After you have had sex (and have it regularly) I think most people would agree that it is a normal body function, like eating and sleeping. I do not exclude "soul sharing" experience from sex, it makes it better and more fulfilling and a real treasure, but sex as such - it is just what our bodies do! so why deny it? I respect people who stay virgin until the wedding night for their determination, but I am sorry for their ruined years. I guess I sound too categorical, but I have a female friend who is too good an illustration of the "suppressed sexuality" topic. The only good reason for not having sex is if you met no one you want to do it with. Then ok, accepted. Women sometimes want to present their husbands with that "special something" to show how much they care... how often men bring this something into marriage? And their wedding night is than one blind leading the other? and the memories they get are of frustration and guilt? And I only too well can picture a woman later accusing her husband that she gave everything she had to him, her life, her virginity, and what did she get? I understand that when you are young you want to marry fresh and innocent, be the only one for the other, and the other is the only one for you. Fabulous. And a bit unrealistic - unless you are so incredibly lucky to have met the right one early. I think for some people sex before marriage equals to promiscuity. But it does not! in most cases. The only thing that happens is that instead of marying the person you want to have sex with, you have sex with him/her and _then_ marry - after you have a normal relationship unaffected by crazy hormone overload. And if turns out that even though sex was good, the partner was the wrong one, you can split - and look for another partner. Or marry him/her if it is the One. But can you make a sober decision when you are young and inexperienced and your body talks louder than your mind? posted by mymla |

I say pre-marital sex is fine. It is a part of growing up and a part of experience. The only reason many consider pre-marital sex to not be ok is because of the effects and influence of nonsensical religious rules that have been passed down on society. As long as the two people are mature enough to not be dumbasses and know the difference between safe-sex and hazardous sex, hump away. Not to mention that many cultures before ours believed sex to be a sacred thing, an experience in which one truly found god, an experience whereas two people spiritually connected.  S'long as it's safe as possible as well as legal then I think pre-marital sex is okay. It's just that the world doesn't need more babies/people, so I figure the longer you wait the better, and waiting til marriage is a true show of loyalty I suppose. posted by iklbug |

To the person who said Pre-Marital Sex & Homosexual Sex is NOT forbidden in The Bible, only Adultery is forbidden, you are obviously unaware that "FORNICATION" IN THE BIBLE means "ANY" SEX OUTSIDE OF MARRIAGE! Also, quite frankly, let's face it... When it comes to homosexuality, a penis is made for a vagina and vice versa. A penis isn't made to go into a butthole that releases toxins, fecal matter and the like (male or female)! Also, there is now an increase in mouth and throat cancer that is being linked to the lesbian community (most likely because there is a lot of oral-genital contact with vaginal secretions high in acidic qualities). Cervical cancer is also linked to women having sex younger in age, unprotected sex with many partners, ABORTIONS, the use of hormonal birth control, etc. However, you know what DECREASES a woman's risk for cervical cancer? Believe it or not, "CHILDBEARING!" Yup, look it up or take A&P and Medical Terminology. It's true! It really amazes me people STILL wonder WHY there is more disease among the homosexual community and those who have sex outside of the true marriage covenant. Well, because it's ALL WORNG!
