Rivulets – A small stream 15. Caterwauling – A shrill, discordant sound 16. Affections – A show, pretense or display 17. Subterfuges – A maneuver designed to deceive or surprise 18. Labyrinth – Maze, a intricate structure of interconnecting passages 19. Raja – An indian prince 20. Denizen – An inhabitant 21. Receptacles – Container that holds items 22. Amorphous – Lacking definite form 37. Addenda – Something added, e.g supplement to a book 38. Unpunctual – Late 39. Provincial – Limited in perspective 40. Incoherent – Unable to think in a clear or orderly manner 41. Pandered – To act as a go-between in sexual intrigues 42. Commensurate – Corresponding in size or degree Uhm, the reason why I am posting this is just so that maybe if someone would perhaps look at the words and definitions and maybe spot a wrong definition and then they could say "Hey wow!*, that definition is wrong - you hooligan!, now correct it or cut of your head"

Yeah, they all look okay. In American English, "Omnibus" is more likely to refer to a book than a vehicle, though; I never knew it could mean a vehicle before today. Also, a few of the verb forms are wrong for the definitions, like "41. Pandered – To act as a go-between in sexual intrigues." The -ed should be left off of "Pandered" to fit the infinitive form of the definition itself. LOL, who the hell calls a newspaper a "rotogravure?" posted by MindSlave |
