»Was the fight of Yoda (Star Wars 2) disappointing?«

A female friend of mind told me how disappointed she was about the fight Yoda vs. Count Dooku .

She expected Yoda to be able to control the lightsabre by thought alone instead of humpin around.

I thought the fight..

..was pretty good, the thing that pissed me off was that lame line by Dooku before they got jiggy...

"it's obvious this will have to settled by our skills with a lightsaber"

For the love of god, it's almost embarrasing to have to listen to that shit!

Not to be a "yes-man" but Crossfade hit the nail on the head. I almost laughed out loud at that line. It would have been so much better if he just wouldn't have said anything. But to Knn's question, I thought the fight was great...but then again, I was stoned so my opinion is skewed. White laugh

the only thing that annoyed me

was the people in the cinema who laughed

and the fact that yoda hobbles in with his stick

leaps around like a dememted ferret in a pair of smelly pants

then hobbles away like a decrepit old man again

whats up with that

Brain-Nerves vs. Spirit-Body

I liked that. Spirit is stronger than body. It means he moved his body with telecinetical Yedi powers rather than the usual brain-nerve connection.

Exactly!

Yeah! That's what's up with that. Smile

Yoda's fight with Dooku - only disappointment for me (aside from Dooku's lead-in line - good point, Crossfade! But let's remember: Lucas wants the whole saga to recall the old sci-fi serials of the 30s and 40s and 50s, which were admittedly pretty lame in the acting department) was the fact that it was too damn short. ...Of course, that was my problem with the whole sabre duel scene in general: Obi-Wan gets whupped, Anakin gets whupped, Yoda comes in and starts a-whuppin', and Dooku runs away. '...That's it?'

I have heard that the big duel in ep3 will be more than compensatory. I pray that it's true. Smile

Much to learn, I still have.

The Yoda - Dooku fight was such a let down that I'm hoping for atleast one good Yoda fight in Ep3 to save the little guys reputation.
I got pissed off at the people in the cinema that start clapping when Yoda got out his light saber.
"SHUT UP! IT HASN'T EVEN STARTED YET"
