troy is a really good movie, the action is really great. perhaps for matrix lovers, the old fashioned fighting style with swords and bows and arrows isn't enough excitement, but it was for me! (and i hope you know that i love the matrix dearly) achilles and patroclus are gorgeous. i guess beautiful genes run in their family. posted by nocturnal_anonymous |

i liked troy better than gladiator, but then again i didn't like gladiator as much as most people...i thought it was a braveheart rip off, but troy was good, a little long and i wanted hector to beat the crap our of achilles... posted by The ONEder Man |

...Don't forget 12 Monkeys! That was the movie that made me actually stop hating the guy. I thought Troy was very good - special effects were great, acting fine, script adequate,... but the movie as a whole didn't really change my life in any way; that is, I didn't feel any different having seen the film. Most movies have a plot that carries you to a climax, which marks a turning point in the main character's journey, and leaves you with a sense of satisfaction at the end. I haven't read The Iliad (yet), but I expect that the movie pretty much held true to it, and that Homer's text does the same thing! So, I guess I'm not exactly saying it was a bad thing that the picture had little resolution at the end; just something I noticed... The horse was very well done. posted by annaerullo |

since like 2000. i have this thing with that movie. i believe i was one of the 1st people to see it. i saw it on the new realese section at blockbuster when it was released. so i guess i was the first. its weird to tell all of your friends about it then meet someone and they have seen it. im not saying its because of me that everyone knows about it. its just i was one of the very first few fans is all. posted by Agent Zero |

and this love for achilles doesn't stem from him being played by brad pitt does it? if he joined troy, he wouldn't have seemed like a rebel anymore, and then i wouldn't have liked him. remember, "i fight for no king." ? and no, i don't like achilles because of brad pitt. posted by nocturnal_anonymous |
