 Unreal, hands down. God, I love those games. The original UT was the fucking definition of a high-intensity FPS, and 2K3 and 2K4 have only continued to raise that bar. Unreal > Quake posted by northern_james |

For me the Original UT still holds it, 2K3 and 2K4 might have loads more shit going on, but I find them a little too "Quake". Can't put it into better words than that, UT had a certain class to it that seems to be missing from it's sequels. Quake never had it to start with. For me the Original UT still holds it, 2K3 and 2K4 might have loads more shit going on, but I find them a little too "Quake". Can't put it into better words than that, UT had a certain class to it that seems to be missing from it's sequels. Quake never had it to start with. Yeah, you have a point. I agree with you somewhat, but still, the extra goodies that came in 2K3 and 4 made up for the 'Quakiness', IMHO. Especially the return of Assault in 2K4.  ive only played quake 3 and the original unreal...and i prefered quake 3(waits for the onslaught) i don't play fps games often as i find most of them are crap especially for the pc goldeneye and perfect dark for n64 timesplitters 2 for ps2 halo for x box metroid prime for gamecube and the jedi knight series(fps in gun mode but not lightsabre mode) they for me are the best of them...never did like half life though...as avid merrion would say..."it was fuckeeng rubbeesh thank you please" posted by the anomaly |

I would say the Redeemed is the strongest weapon. Only have one shot and you can just hang of a cliff where nobody sees you and guide the missile to a group of people. And the blast kills a lot of people. posted by Pawnatron |

I've got most the HL mods, and CS is one of the worst. Specialists 2 is soooo much better. Otherwise I don't play FPS's much anymore. UT owns Quake 3. UT owns UT 2003. UT 2003 owns Quake 3. I'm yet to play UT 2004. Quake One and Two were fun when I was a kid though, sick of em to bits now ( and I only played a few times.) posted by hungarian kid |
