»300 a movie for the ages«

Ok who saw it? I loved every minute of it. It had its moments of cheesyness(all of the guys being super ripped) But I thought it was a movie for the ages. I believe it to hold up all the hype and then blow it out of the water. Some of the sweetest action scenes and some of the sweetest speeches. I for one will buy this ASAP when it comes out tuesday on DVD. Its film style, like that of Sin City was amazing. Every shot was so epic and down right amazing.

As for it making the persians look like savages. I don't think that's true. This movie was strictly for entertainment purposes. Not for a propagandas message to the world about the persians. I love every minute of it. Who else liked it?

I thought it was ok, i expected more from it, the filming was nice and the action was pretty cool. Overall Waaaaayyy too hyped up.

I really hated it.

For one Frank Miller had shit all to do with it, you can tell by the filming style ( nothing like Miller's,) the poor extention of dialogue written for the film, and the added parts that weren't in the book. And it's not that I don't care that the added stuff wasn't in the book, it's more it just blew and stank compared to what Miller does.

Technically, it is a good film. I can aknowledge that, but it makes me feel sick. Every scene was 'epic', the slow mo every 10 seconds had me going 'hurry the funk up', like jesus christ, is it really that necessary to have slow-mo, even for funking innane gestures or walking through a doorway?
The film didn't have any dynamic or contrast, it was just non-stop epic. So it got pretty boring pretty fast.
There was some decent action (when the slow-mo wasn't bugging me,) but honestly not enough to make up for the flop of the added story about the Queen.
The acting was overall pretty poor, it seemed like no one was quite sure what accent to do.
I did like the way the Persian's were portrayed, since it was a story they got hyped up to be more then they were hence them being funking nuts. The Persian King sucked though, his throne was teh awesome though.

It was cool to see David Wenham in it, but he just doesn't pull off being a Spartan, not even a little bit.

Lol I love Miller's down-right propaganda though. The next thing he's working on is a Batman comic, which is Batman V.s. The Al-Qaeda. Lol brilliant.
