Why does it even matter anyways? You're making a big deal out of nothing. So people like gaia-online; big deal. All you seem to be doing here is putting g.o. down. There really is no need for this. People like gaia because they want to like gaia. Sure there is a lot of mindless dribble but maybe that is what attracts people. I for one do not want to have to think too hard about things when I get home from class. Personally, I think you should drop it and get over yourself. Alright, I don't have a link to a decent discussion on GaiaOnline because...I'm at school with all of my work done and this compter doesn't let me on Gaia. If anyone maybe wants to take the time to go to Gaia as a guest (?) then just go to Forums and click ED (Extended Discussion). This is where some arguments and debates are taken out, also where you are 'Flamed' heavily for any...typos. That's where you'll find topics that do not include BUMP or "omgz gimee a boifrind!one1!" topics. However...because of my age, not many people take me seriously there, so there's another setback in my opinion. 
But, ED and other places are where you'll be able to read intelligent type. As for censorship...heh, no one particularly follows the "No swearing" rules, go to any forum and you'll see plenty of swearing. posted by iklbug |

I've been on gaia when it was VERY unpopular. I joined June 15, 2003. I wasn't addicted until September and October. My grades dropped because I got REALLY into computers and now i'm a computer wiz at only age 13. x3 Gaia changed my life forever. I went online from 7:30am all the way to 1:00am anytime I could! Then after a few months around March 2004, I stopped going on gaia so much and it is no longer ADDICTIVE! But I still go on every single day because it is my home and it's like another life I have. I have my dear friends on gaia, I met my best friend in the world sep 03 on gaia and now I see him every week and we're friends with each other's family and everything. I'll know him forever since it's no longer an online friendship and I don't even remember what it felt like to be online 24/7. Now i'm an exchange whore in the exchange and I belong to my guild in the guild system called "The Hidden Madness", but we changed the title to, "Anti-pineapple pizza guild". Join if you would like. We're all equally insane.. =3 Gaia made me into the person I am today. It completely changed my entire personality and now i'm a much better person. ^^ posted by Chii11 |

I am only 13 years old, although I am turning 14 next month. Everybody takes me very seriously on gaia. It all depends on how you act and what you say. Maybe they might not take you seriously because of what you say? I don't know. But I am much loved in the exchange and I love many in there. Some people are very nice and muy fun. ^^ But I don't like the greedy noobs who won't even TRY to change. "noobs" and "newbs" are different. I like "newbs", but I don't like "noobs". ¬_¬ Anyways, I guess it's because I can hold a debate very well and I usually win because I NEVER debate with someone unless I have a very good reason to and there's no way the person is right. Personally, I love to be proven wrong on something I believe. That way, I can learn from my mistakes and only good will come out of it. =3 You should join "The anti-pineapple pizza guild". There are some things that EVERYONE is SURE to like. The forum is very big and there's a guild for just about everything. I'm sure there's something on gaia that will trigger everyone's interest. You will never know unless you REALLY try it out and get to know everything on gaia. It's much like a real community. I met every single one of the admins since they live 10 minutes away from me, and i've heard what they want from gaia and what they're trying to do. I'm sure they've succeeded. They WANT people to spread their own opinions on gaia and to gaia. They don't care if you don't like it or if you love it. They expect all the stupid people on gaia. It's exactly like the real world. There are stupid idiots out there that you might see every day even if you don't know them and then there's the good ones who are your friends. It's a way of communicating and having fun. There are threads just like this one in gaia. There's everything on gaia simply in the forums. Plus there's games if you don't like to discuss things (which is really weird).  ITS A BATTLE FOR THE ONE WEBSITE! IMO RULES...so gaia is a community for people who want to do nothing but pretend to be something they are not because of their depressing lives when really, if they got off their computers for more than an hour a day they might meet REAL people, i post alot here but a majority of my day is hanging out with my friends. gaia is a community for people who are 16 and younger, and that's why there are no real discussions. because all the "adults" are not around. and the mods are as lame as the other people. and just how is gaia pronounced is it g-a-y like gay or is it g-u-y like guy, cant figure it out. but for now i will call it GAY...gaia is gay, hmmm. interesting. now...PULL OUT YOUR SWORD AND PREPARE FOR BATTLE YOU TWIT posted by Agent Zero |
