 Alranth: If it comes to a war, we can always spam you guys to death with our 200 post per day people... You can't. The automatic crap prevention system (CRAPSY) would get triggered. Agent Zero: intersting...a forum war..i like it yeah but the point is: A war between IMO and Gaia means 1) THEY spam us at IMO 2) WE post good topics at Gaia Not very promising

 this thread sure got out of hand...whats ironic is i only noticed after zero posted at matrix-explained after trying to recruit all the techno nihilists etc from their in his fight against gaia im also quite embarrased by some of our regulars in this argument...people have came here and been quite fair and balanced about gaia and have given some reasons why we should try it out and you have hounded them out the door like a bunch of local spear chucking savages...are we the town of deliverance online?...who gets to play the banjo on the vitual bridge? i think the point about gaia having to much to trawl through to get to anything good is a fair assumption...there needs to be a bit of a spring clean in there to sift away some of the pointless stuff but the same could be said of this site...there are many threads generated by the newsbot etc that have no replies...they could get chucked without consequence posted by the anomaly |

Honestly I don't see what's cool about the site, it just reminds me of pokemon! Addictive, but you look back and realise "what the FUCK was I thinking!"
I rarely define something as cool, it's a sketchy term often used with fads of trendy things, I don't buy into fads and I'm not trendy so I'm pretty much out of the loop then! For something to be cool, it has to have a lasting appeal that never dies! Like pirates!

I think lots of people have the "What the fuck was I thinking!" thought about the site , as many people have 'left' the site, and many new people don't post because they see how...stupid it is before they even make a single post, or they just get bored. Then there are the Gaians who post away, complaining about how the site has gone to hell and any other thing that comes to mind, and doing nothing to try and help make the site less crappy...ish.
As for me, I've already had that thought run through my mind...several times. Which is why I don't post much anymore, and just talk with the few friends I made, sticking to my inbox, or maybe to LI. I suppose lots of people will see me as stupid for continuing going on the site, but...ah well. Like many have already said, it's addictive, for some, and it has some decent qualities to it. Of course...Gaia is nowhere near as cool as pirates, that's for sure. posted by iklbug |

And choose some more piratey avatars! And Knn matey, put in a function so the words songs and music come up as "Shanties" and change the Forum name to something more piratey like 'In My Piratey Opinion.org' or 'In A Pirates Opinion.org'! Oh, and we'll need to sever some legs and gouge out some eyes too! Also, Knn, train a monkey or a parrot to post here!
