When Gaia art arena holds art contests, they give a type of anime or manga to draw, but one can have the specific prompt or...whatever doing practically whatever they want. Also if you take a look at the top artists, many do a very good job at making their own unique charaters, it's pretty impressive.  DualBlader: Gaia's better than any other Virtual website like Runescape or neopets.:yourcatpeedonmycarpet:How can you people hate it? Well... it seems most people that goto neopets do it out of pure boredom and runescape is just the poorest excuse for an MMO there is, and charging for the members when you could just get the free version of Anarchy Online. We're not arguing that Gaia's not better than runescape and neopets, we're arguing that it's full of idiots and a generally crap forum with only the occasional intellectual thread. How can we hate it? I could just as easily ask "How could you like it?"... so now you've learnt about a thing called opinions hence the name of this site.

The fact that its a crap forum depends on where you go - if you check out the breedables forum, there are some awesome roleplayers there, fantastic art, and N00bs quickly get torn apart. For example, if you look for a bit, you might find Mendels, which encourages users to post long diary type entries, and roleplay with their pets a lot. posted by shiningsupernova |
