Wow, 1 day with God (TV) I think I have a "Jeeezesss" overdose. I watched all the stand up preachers and the best shows were "The Potter's House" and "This is your day (with Benny Hinn)" (the show where people get healed). You should switch in if you have time to watch those 2: I am not talking about believing it, just for a study of the current state of American Christian preachers. To sum it up:
However, the cause of personal problems (= car accident) is always in the shadow... I haven't heard a good answer to this. The preachers typically cite 2 or 3 sentences from the bible in a 1-2 hour show. Makes me wonder how much is their OWN view of things. Systemic problems (= administrative injustice, criminal country leaders) are not addressed. posted by knn |

i like to watch now and then, though it can get nauseating, and somewhat hypnotic. benny hinn is a weird show to watch, especially if he touches someone and they don't fall down, he has to make them fall down, and then he waves his arm at the audience and only the first few rows fall over, apparently god's power doesn't reach very far all the preachers yell, for whatever reason, maybe it's for the elderly and hard of hearing posted by esc |

but if you get a chance knn watch dr. miles monroe, he's from the bahamas and teaches deeper into the bible then anyone i've seen...more symbolism than most preachers out there..uses what the hebrew and greek text actually meant in certain contexts...one example when god kicked adam and eve out of the garden, he talks about working the land etc...in the context of the hebrew language it translates into "become yourself" posted by The ONEder Man |
