John + John Quote: Sen. John Kerry has chosen former rival John Edwards as his running mate, NBC News reported on Tuesday.
Edwards, a North Carolina senator, met secretly with Kerry late last week. NBC's Andrea Mitchell reported that Edwards was the final choice after Kerry chose between two dozen possibilities, among them Rep. Dick Gephardt of Missouri, Gov. Tom Vilsack of Iowa and Sen. Bob Graham of Florida. Kerry and his top advisers have shared virtually no details of their deliberations, but that hasn’t stopped speculation about a long line of Democrats that also included retired Army Gen. Wesley Clark, Sen. Evan Bayh of Indiana and Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware. posted by knn |

w/o a doubt, this is the best choice not only for Kerry, but for the democratic party as well. Edwards has real promise as a candidate and if Kerry should somehow pull off a victory, the Donkeys should be able to take control for many years...then again, that's what they thought w/Clinton & Gore...and we all know how that turned out. posted by GP |

No, not anymore. Nader used to be a great, moral man. Nowadays, he's just a bitter, ornery, egomaniac. posted by GP |

Hey! Since when has Michael Moore been a great moral man? Actually, I think what he's trying to say in his films is good for America, but he's guilty of yellow journalism and being a huge (in many senses of the word) hypocrite. posted by GP |
