»The Hulk«

Did anyone actually like the film? Ang Lee has an elegant style of film making that shouldnt lend itself well to an 'action' film but i like the pace and the visual story telling he used.

I know it's been out for ages but just wanted to know peoples opinions on it as i seem to be in the minority amongst friends as i really liked it.

i loved it...

being a hulk fan and comic collector since birth (i think), i loved it just cuz it was a hulk movie...the visuals were amazing..it also stayed pretty true to the comic book story although minor variations...the story was a bit slow in the beginning but every comic book to movie adaptation has to start that way to tell the back story, the movie was very artsy, the way he used panels just like in comics was really cool...the main complaint ive heard was they didn't show enough hulk, which i have to agree, i'd have hulk on the screen the whole time if it was up to me... Thumb Up but just as in x2 and spiderman 2(better than the 1st by the way!), they didn't have to waste time telling back story, or learning their powers so when hulk 2 comes out(the rumors better be true!) they can get right to the meat and potatoes...ang lee's take on it was different..showed the struggle of bruce and the monster within which is what encompasses the entire premiss of the hulk but i'd still like to see a different director on the next one

I agree w/One-der man's post. I really enjoyed the Hulk, as well. It's nice, being a comic fan, to see more movies based on comics holding true to the comic for the most part. The movie that I felt suffered from Hollywood was Daredevil. I love the Daredevil comic and liked the movie quite a bit as well. However, it's very obvious throughout the film that many things had to be cut and/or "tuned down" to get the PG-13 rating. In the end, this prevents it from being really well done. I've heard rumors that an unrated director's cut will be released on DVD in 2005...but, we'll see.

use force speed to attack him with the lightsabre so he wouldnt even known what hit him

when it comes down to it...yoda is way harder than the hulk...there is just no doubt about it

I didn't hate Hulk, McNaulty was good! I just recently saw Spiderman 2, it was bloody fantastic, shits all over the first one. Maybe Hulk 2 will be fantatsic, with the discovering of his super power out of the way etc.
Dare Devil was a bit of a dissapointment, still havn't seen the Punisher but people say it's good.

Spidey 2...

...was pretty damn good, Dr Octopuss was the shit! great special effects.

I love how Doc Oc didn't have a costume or anything, just get that beer gut out and didn't care much otherwise. The CGI for Spiderman was more noticable, but the fights were so much better that you just don't care ( I'm guessing the new CGI allowed them to do more.)

Doc Oc? Doc Oc!

Wow, the CGI for Doctor Octopus was fantastic!

I saw both versions...

the downloaded version and the version in the cinema.

Does anyone remember that bit where the Hulk is jumping around in the desert? In the downloaded version the music in the background was chilled music and the scene felt very reminiscent of the end scene in Akira where that guy is floating around and being shown scenes from Tetsuo's childhood.

When I went to the cinema to see it properly I was really frustrated. What was an almost magical scene in the version I downloaded, now had "George Of The Jungle" style blockbuster music in the background. It was appalling!
