I guess...

it depends what you mean by "Is there a God?". What is a 'God'? What would existence mean for an infinite eternal being?

Does existence mean the same thing for you when you are outside of time? We haven't really got another eternal or infinite being to compare God to have we?

Maybe an eternal ant could be a God?

i don't know if there is "god" but there is a greater power, greater than humans, that can change a lot of things

What could it possibly change?

probably not

I don't feel there is a God because I don't like the idea of popping in that extra variable unless and until every other option to explain away whatever "God" is credited with, is disproven. In my experience, people use "God" mainly as a crutch or for consolation. I'm not saying I'm right, because IF there is a "God" then I am not equipped to "realise" "her" "existence".

Men are gods compared to ants, Buddha Θ was a god among men and extremely advanced aliens are gods too, especially if they complete the colonization.

There is no proof. Oh shit, I forgot about the bible, that's proof right there, or atleast that is what I have been told by the fans of that book. Silly and stupid, that's how I feel

Who needs proof when you have faith? Everyone needs faith to live life. Just by writing on this forum you are presuming the existence of:
external objects (mouse and keyboard + fingers)
free will
other minds

What? Do you think you can PROVE these things exist? Are you capable of overcoming a couple of centuries of sceptical philosophy that is, so far, unvanquished?

Every religious position is matter of faith so we must simply choose the one that is both:
(a) acceptable within our framework of knowledge and
(b) optimistic

My position is that atheism is best, not because it is better suited to our knowledge. In my opinion most religions fit in with our framework of knowledge quite nicely (apart from Christian creation science). My reason for accepting atheism is because it provides the most positive framework for life... Smile
