It started out as an enjoyable kind of hobby. My wife works in the legal and criminal field and so it was by attending court where she had business that I became interested in the attendings. My wife and I started attending several local county courts and we would sit in on various small-claims and criminal trials that were in the most part decided by a Judge. My wife knew and was known by many of these judges in several counties around. We started noticing a pattern of decisions that were being made by certain Justices who were known attending members of Masonic Lodges. We have been documenting this for several years now and we are getting a new point of view on justice county-wide in our part of the state. Out-comes became almost 98% predictable based upon the charge, the defendant's background, the family names involved and the family reputations of either the Plaintiff or the Defendant... sometimes even when there seemed strong evidence to the contrary. If you go to court on small-claims or criminal charges in the County courts, don't bet that you will have a just hearing of either your complaint or your defense. posted by Theos |
