I never said a stock muscle car CAN'T turn sharp corner at all. I basically said that a stock muscle car cannot make turns as well as a modern suped-up car.

An unmodified 35 yr old hot rod suspension coupled with it's weight CANNOT corner as well as a new sports car of any make and model that I know of. It could not win on a formula 1 style course against a new car w/ similar HP, lower body weight and better suspension. Perhaps if the driver was horrible.

Now shave some weight off a '69 chevelle, bring the front/back weight ratio closer to 50/50, put in a new suspension system and frame, along with new transmission and rear end, then sure it can compete. I've seen it done.
