Definitely not a Dolphin

Sorry anomaly, that's not a dolphin.
You can tell because it has a vertical tailfin, not horizontal as in dolphins.

Sorry, holy, but it IS a dolphin.
You can't even see the tailfin, but you can see the dorsal fin, which identifies the dolphin:

All right whatever

Toz, that is not a dolphin. Porpoise, maybe, but way to big to be a dolphin.

And let's listen to what the photographer himself says:
This photo is 100% REAL. It's NOT manipulated in ANYWAY and it's a Dolphin ! It is NOT a shark as some have said on Internet sites and in emails. Here is another shot. It's a few frames later in the series. Clearly, it's a Dolphin.

Dolphins are a normal, daily sighting in Malibu, CA..

Not a Dolphin

This picture was taken by photographer Kurt Jones on 9 April 2003 at Surfrider Beach in Malibu, one of California's premier surfing beaches. But as the version of the photograph posted on the web indicates, however, the ominous-looking finned creature lurking just beneath the surface of the waves is a dolphin (possibly a bottlenose), not a shark.

On closer inspection, probably a toothed whale, but definitely not a bottlenose. Way too big to be a bottlenose (I see those all the time, they're not that big). But this is in the Pacific, so maybe they have giant dolphins there. But I think it's probably a Pilot Whale. Have you studied cetaceans, tozy?

The Linnaean taxonomy is wacko. That's not a dolphin, it's a whale, dolphins are smaller than that in the popular nomenclature.

Nope, I am just a scuba-diver with interest in the marine life.
