Quote: What in Amon-Ra's name are you talking about? Aaah, somone who doesn't see the beauty of stereograms... The text is totally irrelevant, the hidden pic is not. Just like on sirds: The dots are irrelevant. posted by knn |

...what Pawnatron was going on about - I thought he'd posted in the wrong thread You see I never even read the text, I just went to the page, googled my eyes, got the message and thought "Phah!" It works really well though, despite the end result being a kick in the pants. posted by Marl64 |

Pawnatron, if you never saw anything in Stereograms then I would suggest you try another object first and not the ASCII sirds. posted by knn |

No I have looked at lots of those kinds of pics. Even finished a book where there are lot of pictures and it allways gets harder and harder to see what it is... do I have to print it out? posted by Pawnatron |

knn: There is some truth in this joke... for me all those stereograms look more 3D than nature Yeah, I know what you mean, it works like Viewmaster ♣, Cinema 3D etc. The image looks too 3D if you like. In a real world situation, you brain sorts it all out and so it seems perfectly normal - you don't conciously perceive the 3D. But with a lot of these artificial techniques, you're tricking your brain, but it's not so easily fooled. It interprets the image as 3D and you see it as such, but the fact that the depth is so perceivable means your brain has not really accepted it as normal. (That's the best way I can think to explain it) posted by Marl64 |
