Reminds me of that scene in "Air Force One" where they attempt to fill the tank in mid air just like this. posted by Echelon |

so what's the verdict? f18 or f16? Cuz i know the f16 is the tomcat and the one in the first post clearly does not have the variable wing configuration that the tomcat posesses. posted by CustomerDisservice |

not correct mate the f 14 is the tomcat(pictured) the f16 is the falcon(or fighting falcon) the f 15 is the eagle(or strike eagle) the f22 is the raptor [CLICK HERE TO VIEW THIS PICTURE] posted by the anomaly |

if you want the best...the f22 is it...independant thrust vector engines(can more up and down the exhaust nozzles separately)this gives unparraleled manouverability [CLICK HERE TO VIEW THIS PICTURE] posted by the anomaly |

particularly the rear...the wing shape and the 2 stabalising wings are different to the f15 though this thing is also substantially larger that an f15...its twice the size of an f16 but is immensly more manouvarable that it... it also has double engined thrust vectoring although both engines must move in the same direction... it gives the plane an almost 180 degree angle of attack this means that it can be pusrued by an attacking fighter and it can essentially do a back flip in mid air and fire on the chasing craft...ive seen one of these perform the manouvre at the farnbourgh airshow about 4 years ago...unbeleivable stuff to see a plane flyng forward and then turn over like a loop but continue along the same trajectory as it was going when it was horizontal to the ground posted by the anomaly |
