I am currently trying to cut out food altogether from my diet. I know this sounds dangerous but i wont let it get out of hand, I just want to see the minimum food that my body can run on. I have quite a musically build with very little fat, I am experimenting to see if i keep exercising will I lose muscle or fat. I'm also doing it to test my will power, see if i could keep a fast without giving up posted by Yaldabaoth |

you can survive without water for about 4 days...you can survive without food but with water for about a month apparently...more if you body has sufficient fat reserves to use for keeping the vital organs functioning after fat reserves have been used up then the body starts to use the protiens of actin and myosin contained in muscle tissue...this is much more difficult for the body to breakdown though and by this point you will probably be blind, deaf and suffering from muscle spasms, possibly hallucinations and delerium...followed swiftly by death have fun posted by the anomaly |

haha thanks I don’t plan on going that far but thank you for the info. I’m just going to do it till I feel I have tested my determination enough. I don't want to do any damage to myself. I saw David Blane's fast and I found it quite impressive, his will to keep subjecting himself to the horrible circumstance. posted by Yaldabaoth |

It was once published that you could theoretically provide body's correct daily requirements with... A Glass of Orange Juice An Egg 38 Pints of Guinness Never tried it, but have done extensive practice runs Yaldabaoth: I am currently trying to cut out food altogether from my diet. Try dunn's river nurishment ♣ it can easily replace a good meal in terms of nutrients Yaldabaoth: I saw David Blane's fast and I found it quite impressive, his will to keep subjecting himself to the horrible circumstance. There are many who believe that that whole stunt was rigged. posted by Marl64 |

I don't think it was rigged, he might have had sucrose in his water but its still impressive, even for the fact alone he sat in that box for so long. 38 pints of guiness? I think you'd be so out of it you wouldnt know if you were alive or not posted by Yaldabaoth |

You mean in that box of ice? Cus that was rigged. I don't suggest fasting, it'll weaken you quite a bit. Are you religous or something (just curious)? posted by hungarian kid |
